Left over idlis? Add this tadka and make it into a snack. Have some left over sambar too? Then just try this version of masala idli and sambar for a light lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
1. Cooked Idli – 9-10, chopped into medium size cubes
2. Tomato – 1, deseeded and chopped
3. Onion – 1, chopped into thin slices
4. Green Chilli – 1, finely chopped
5. Capsicum – 1/2 , deseeded and chopped into thin strips
6. Sambar Powder – ½ tsp
7. Lemon juice – 1 tsp
8. Salt to taste
9. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
10. Curry leaves – 6-7
11. Coriander Leaves to garnish
12. Oil – 1 tsp
Method
1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan.
2. Add the mustard seeds and curry leaves to the hot oil and allow then to splutter.
3. Add the chopped tomatoes, onions, capsicum, green chilli and sambar powder and fry for a few minutes on high flame.
4. Add the cubed idli pieces and salt and mix well.
5. Add the lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
