Masala Papad


1. Urad Dal Papad 4

2. Onion – 1 small, finely chopped

3. Tomato – 1 small, deseeded and finely chopped

4. Peanuts – 2 tbsp

5. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, finely chopped

6. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

7. Chaat masala powder – 1 tsp

8. Salt to taste

9. Red chilli powder – ½ tsp



1. Using a mortal and pestle, roughly crush the peanuts.

2. Mix together in a bowl, the crushed peanuts, finely chopped onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves. Add the lemon juice, chaat masala powder and salt to taste. Mix everything well.

3. Roast the urad dal papads either directly on medium flame using tongs or roast in the microwave.

4. Spread the mixture on the roasted papad. Sprinkle red chilli powder on top and serve.
