Strawberry crumble (Gluten Free)

Strawberries – 10-12, cleaned and sliced

Sorghum Flour (Jowar aata) – 1 cup

Gluten Free Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp

Sugar – 1 cup

Egg – 1, beaten well

Butter – 25 gms, cold butter cut in cubes



Pre-heat oven to 180 degree Celsius.


Spread the sliced strawberries evenly in a baking dish.

In another bowl, mix together the sorghum flour, baking powder and sugar.

Add the egg, and mix using a fork till the mixture becomes crumbly. It should resemble bread crumbs.  Ensure all the dry ingredients are incorporated well and turn crumbly.

Now, Spread this mixture over the berries.
Dot with the butter cubes on top.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden and the berries are bubbling.


Cool slightly before serving.
